The restaurant at Ksar Ighnda promises a truly local and traditional culinary experience. The produce is fresh and local, with vegetables and herbs from the Riad's kitchen garden, meat from the region, and goat's cheese made by women at the local cheese dairy.
More than just Moroccan, the cuisine here is Berber and marked by the Atlas mountains, a cuisine deeply rooted in its territory.
In addition to these local dishes, our restaurant near Ouarzazate and Aït Ben Haddou also serves international cuisine.
From the more intimate dining room with its magnificent light fittings made of blown glass beads from Syria for guests looking for privacy, to the larger rooms on the garden side with a view of the swimming pool or on the valley side with a view of the mountains, there are 4 different dining areas in all, each with its own special atmosphere.
The large dining room, next to the swimming pool, has an open buffet and can accommodate groups.
From Nadia, who takes care of all the Moroccan dishes that come out of the kitchen, especially the tajines, to Mohamed, the baker, and Khadija, the pastry chef, the kitchen teams are all at the service of the Riad's guests. A cuisine from the heart, using local produce enhanced by the talents of the kitchen brigade.
You'll also have the chance to learn how to bake bread and take cookery classes in an exceptional setting, in the Riad's gardens, with breathtaking views over the valley.
Mohamed, our baker, makes everything in-house. In particular, he is responsible for our breakfast, where all the pastries come out of our ovens.
Khadija is our pastry chef. Self-taught, she prepares exquisite desserts that will delight your taste buds. With particular attention to detail and quality, she creates delicate and tasty pastries, perfect for ending your meal on a sweet and memorable note.
Our team creates personalised menus with fresh products for your weddings, birthdays and other events special events.
Like the restaurant, the bar has several distinct areas. An area near the swimming pool where you can enjoy a cool drink at the end of the day, with or without alcohol.
The second area, the Café des Maures, is located at the entrance to the Riad. More intimate, it offers moments of calm.
Run by Mohamed, the head baker, breakfast is the ideal start to the day at the Ksar. Served as a buffet, everything here is homemade, from fresh seasonal fruit juices to pastries and yoghurts also made on the premises.
You'll find pains au chocolat and focaccias, as well as msemen and Moroccan-influenced cakes such as an exquisite cake with citrus notes. Chocolate, coffee, mint tea, just like the rest of the breakfast, the hot drinks are Moroccan or Western.
On Sundays, brunch is served in the hotel gardens, one of the 4 dining areas. With views over the valley and mountains, it's a dream setting to start the day in the best possible way, savouring dishes prepared by our kitchen teams.
